My experiences of teaching learning during pandemic period

We(teachers in our School) started TL process through whatsapp on September 2020. We sent rhymes, videos, basic vocabularies, fundamental language exercises ( writing letters, words) those prepared for previous set.

Then we sent some video teachings from youtube, KALVI TV etc. I handled 5th standard and decided to take survey with parents whether they accept online class or not.

It was not able to contact survey with all parents due to unavailability of mobile . So we met them when issuance of text books and notebooks.

Then I started ZOOM App account to contact 101 children of 3 sections of std.5. But we can achieve maximum only 40 %.

Problems we faced

1. Children from interior village can't be able to attend due to network problems, cell phones.

2. As the location is having major number of muslim children it is not able to handle the class in morning 6 to 8. Because most of them are attending religious classes in madharassas and also in evening 5 to 7.

3. Some of them having only one cell phone that is of their working parents. So, in such cases the children can have mobiles after 8pm and before 8 am.

4. But unfortunately, there is only one possibility to handle the online  class on 7pm to 8pm. It is not the possible time to all children.

5. As it is holidays duration some of them went to their relatives house without taking study materials and mobile also. Because the mobile is of their parents.

Conclusion

This is neither success nor failure.

Some children who have not mobile phones were gathered in group where a child had mobile.

It can be made success if all children have mobile phones and sound network.

***After returning from RIESI, I continued my zoom class from the next day to till now, even in feeble network.

I contacted some idle parents through direct call, and conveyed future plans regarding education.
